In an interview on Newzroom Afrika, reporter and journalist Karryn Maughan of News24 revealed that whilst in prison, convicted Facebook r*pist Thabo Bester had several visits from a certain female TV celebrity. The latest reports alleges that Durban businesswoman, reality TV star and socialite Shauwn 'MaMkhize' Mkhize is in fact the mystery lady who kept in contact with Bester while in prison.
Social media was already a frenzy following the interview that revealed that a certain female TV celebrity was in contact with Thabo Bester whilst he was in prison. However, more damning allegations have come to light that implicate Shauwn Mkhize to Bester.

News 24 Journalist Karryn Maughan previously mentioned that from the prison records that are in her possession, a list of people is shown who were constantly and consistently in touch with Thabo Bester. Also well known television personality, whose identity was kept a secret is said to have been heavily in contact with Thabo Bester whilst he was in prison.

"What has been fascinating is because we have the prison records, we have been phoning the number of people that have been visiting him and a number of people he listed as contacts. Including a well know celebrity that you and I will both know, we have seen her on the television screens. And what is fascinating to me is that he seems to have done this thing where he said my name is Tom Motsepe and I am a relative of the Motsepe family but I am in prison under a fake name because my family... you know... it is a whole political thing, people can't know who I am." said Karryn Maughan, News24
Reportedly, Bester was also heavily involved in the entertainment industry whilst in prison, which in retrospect does not come as surprise after he hosted a high end, glamorous gala dinner where million of rands were raised. And he had even very prominent people singing him happy birthday.
"And he was heavily involved in the entertainment industry, to the extent that this 21st century media company into which several million rand was sunk. He was able to have a gala dinner in that... you know at that entity and have a number of completely unwitting people" said Karry Maughan, News24
Scores of tweeps have expressed how all these allegations does not come as a surprise to them where Shauwn Mkhize is concerned. Recently, tweeps have been lambasting MaMkhize for allegations surrounding misappropriation of funds for the money that was meant to build RDP houses in Durban.
