The singer, who's cooking up a new album has been re-connecting with her roots back home.

On some mornings and afternoons, she was sighted walking her cows. "My cows follow me, I don't walk behind them. They do not call me country-girl for nothing." She captioned a video of her with her cows.

In a more recent video, the singer gave orders to her herd of goats and they heeded her instructions.

Zahara, who recently bagged a new TV gig as a judge on an African talent show set to come out in November a multi-platinum selling artist.

The 31-year-old started singing when she was only six-years-old Her 2011 debut album, Loliwe, has sold over a 100 000 copies in South Africa.

At the 2012 South African Music Awards, the singer walked away with eight SAMA awards, including 'Album of the Year' and 'Best Female.'

The singer, who's regarded as one of the best vocalists on the continent has gone independent after parting with her then-record label TS Records.
