It is no secret that Chicco Twala's son, Longwe Twala, has encountered all kinds of tragic and unfortunate events in his life, but it seems he has turned over a new leaf now.
Sunday World reports that he was recently released from a drug rehab, and is ready to share his own version of what transpired when Senzo Meyiwa was shot and killed at Kelly Khumalo's house in Vosloorus, back in 2014.
A source told the publication that Longwe is a changed man now after spending a couple of months in rehab, "Longwe is sober, and he’s a changed man now," said a source.
According to the source, Longwe has mended his broken relationship with his father, legendary singer and music producer Chicco Twala. Now, he is ready for the world to hear his voice after being mum about Senzo's murder.
“Chicco is excited that his son is a changed man. The father-and-son had a heart-to-heart conversation and Longwe is prepared to tell the truth about Senzo." said the source.
When Senzo Meyiwa was shot, Longwe was one of seven people in the house who witnessed the tragic incident. A second docket in the Senzo Meyiwa trial recently emerged and it implicated him Kelly Khumalo, Zandile Khumalo , Gladness Khumalo, Tumelo Madlala, Mthokozisi Thwala and Maggy Phiri.
The docket was later dismissed in court because it had no merit. According to the docket, these individuals were suspects in the case and were accused of defeating the criminal justice system.

In an interview on Metro FM a couple of years ago. In response to the accusation of killing Senzo, Longwe said he was deeply saddened by the allegations.
"I'm actually saddened that my own people can do this to me, I mean it was a robbery gone wrong. I was even the coward of the day 'cause I actually ran out as those gunmen actually came in and requested phones and money from us. I was actually the first to stand up to try & protect everyone, not realizing that the other guy also had a gun and pointed the gun at me and I actually ran out the door after he pointed the gun in self-defense. From then I was outside, I wanted to get help but it was late, the neighbors were even sleeping, I didn't even have my phone 'cause I left it at the house so I couldn't call the cops." Said Longwe
His father Chicco Twala, recently told Newzroom Afrika that he was not involved in the murder of Meyiwa after being accused of allegedly hiding information that could help to crack the case.
"I was not part of the eight people. I think the people who know the truth are my son, Kelly Khumalo and the rest of the guys who were there. Because those people are conscious. Someone cannot be shot in their presence and they are all silent about it. They know who killed Senzo, my son knows, Kelly knows and everybody knows.
According to him, if his son is involved, he will support all efforts to arrest the perpetrators. "I will never protect him, I don't care how much I love him but if he is part of the people who murdered Senzo even if there is a death sentence I will support it,"
He went on to say that Senzo's friend should tell the truth. "Why would your best friend not divulge who killed Senzo? My son was meeting that guy for the first time. Senzo's friend must tell the truth that he was there when Senzo was killed. Even if the guy says its my son, the police must immediately arrest my son send him to life sentence
