Why Mzansi Is Unimpressed With Oskido And Lasizwe

All eyes were on Pearl Thusi and her date Michael Bucwa, AKA Mr. SMEG for their National Date. The date which took place at Oskido's restaurant Daruma on Saturday, gained support from various local brands who made the day extra special for the two of them. You would think Oskido trended for the food he serves at his restaurant, but no, he trended because he hogged the spotlight, which was interestingly at Michael.

You all saw the viral picture of Oskido supposedly giving Pearl Thusi a kiss on the mouth. But according to Pearl, Oskido did not kiss her. Many viewers thought that was tacky and uncalled for, seeing how the date was about Pearl and Michael.

He got given the chance to talk to 'couple' but fans thought he overstayed his welcome by getting a bit too comfortable.

Oskido is seemingly unbothered by the negative comments he is getting and he advised his followers to always stay positive. "Get to the point where you’re so positive that negative people or negative thoughts no longer have an affect on you. Your inner peace and wellness is determined by how you respond to the external reality, not how it is. Decide and declare that you’ll be unbothered and unmoved."

Pearl Thusi was so impressed by Michael and said he gave her one of the best dates she has ever been on. He too felt the same way about it and so he asked her for a second date for Valentine's Day.

Another star who was accused of trying to hog the spotlight because of the date was Lasizwe. Now, the YouTuber got to go out with Mr. SMEG first last year and he described him as a gentleman.

They enjoyed the date but when Michael asked him for another one, Lasizwe replied with a simple, NO.

Now he posted a series of tweets crying and feeling very down and was green with jealousy over Michael and Pearl.

But Lasizwe was slammed - and Pearl even retweeted some of the tweet - for having made Michael feel like he was doing him a favour. When he was asked out, he demanded 1234 Retweets first and then he shared the terms and conditions of their outing which were as follows:

1. Please don't bring your kettle or any appliances to our lunch
2. Dress Code is FORMAL
3. If you're LATE even by 1 minute the lunch is automatically canceled
4. And please ubeHandsome tuu
