The paper reports that the statement by the woman indicates that Makamu allegedly fondled the woman's breasts and attempted to kiss her. If there's some truth to what the Bishop has been telling, be it on interviews and statements, he was indeed asking for church keys. However the woman, who has been reported by several publications to have been 17 years old at the time, claims the Bishop had other intentions as well.

When all of this started, the publication reports that Bishop Makamu contacted the woman, who was working as a receptionist at his church, to meet up on the road. Then he apparently asked the woman to get in his car so he can drop her off at her place.

The destination however, lead to his Endless Hope Bible Church where the two got off. At the church she alleges the Bishop made advances towards her. Managing to escape, she then arrived at her place and confided in her roommate who advised her to record him.

Hence the infamous recording which took everyone by surprise, because of the sexual connotations.

When interviewed by Nimrod Nkosi on the show AmaBishop, Makamu said the recording was edited to sound sinister and that he was jokingly asking for church keys. He questioned many things including why was this exposed now a few years later.

With regards to the claim of bribery, where the family suggest he tried to buy their silence with R1 million, he said he could not have possibly owned that much money and said this incident is not worth such money.

Towards the end of the interview, the lady's father said his daughter is apparently suicidal and that she tried to take her own life by overdosing in pills. She also apparently had to leave the church because of fear of victimisation.

In lighter news though, the Makamu episode brought in stellar numbers for AmaBishop. This according to Phil Mphela who reported that Makamu's sex scandal brought in more than 837 000 viewers, the highest since the show debuted.

This automatically makes the show the highest rated program, which airs from 9-10 PM in Mzansi. This makes it the third show on Moja Love to achieve such, as Jub Jub's Uyajola 9/9 and You Promised To Marry Me raked in such high viewing.
