Mostly known for her kind heart and always lending a helping hand, all-round media personality and TV star Boity Thulo, and now the creator of South Africa’s new favorite drinks brand, is definitely owning her throne. Boity who was also named as one of Forbes Africa’s 30 Under 30 in 2019 for her contribution to the music and entertainment sector turns 31 today.
Boity, who is originally from Potchefstroom in the North West, has come a long way since her days as a TV commercial model. From presenting at the MTV Africa Music Awards to dropping music videos with Nasty C, to her ancestral journey, and her relationship with Minnie Dlamini, Boity Thulo is unstoppable.
Despite her career taking her to greater heights, remember her Coke Studio experience, being in the public eye has also not turned out so well for her. Let's take a look at when Boity set the timeline ablaze.
If there's one thing about Boity is that she's quite quick to put haters in their place when they come for her. This time Mac G made a very insulting comment about rapper Boity and her sexual orientation and it didn't end well for him.
During Mac G's podcast, they decided to play a little game of smash, marry or kill. An audience member asked the hosts to pick between Thando Thabethe, Boity, and Bonang.
Mac G on the other hand said he would marry Bonang, but he was quite hesitant when it came to smashing or killing Thando and Boity. After some time he said he can't pick Boity because "everyone has f***k Boity."
There can ever be a quiet day in Mzansi when Ntsiki doesn't try to come for someone. Unfortunately, this time she knocked on the wrong door and Boity was not having it.
In celebrating her latest achievement with the release of her new beverage, Boity was having a good day when Ntsiki took to social media to blast celebs for starting alcohol brands without any degrees.
Remember when Boity called out Euphonik after he leaked a screenshot of an alleged apology from the woman who had opened a rape case against the property entrepreneur and former Metro FM DJ, Fresh? Someone decided to have a little fun or so they thought.
Tweeps dug up an old video of the Bakae hitmaker coming for fellow entertainer Kuli Roberts during an episode of V Entertainment. Kuli threw shade at Lerato Kganyago, revealing that she was glad she was not present.
Boity didn't take kindly to it and she went in on Kuli guns blazing.
It's about time these two had us stop playing the guessing game. Boity’s rumored new bae Anton David Jeftha had quite the sweetest thing to say to Boity on the launch of her new alcoholic drink BTS Signature.
While many are happy for them trolls are already preaching doom and gloom for the two. Some went as far as saying Boity will be left for a man.
Boity showed us that she's an unstoppable force as she expanded her business footprint with a new addition to her growing empire. She teamed up with Halo Heritage the new leading creators of luxurious natural haircare and fine fragrances.
Boity also launched a 3-episode series that tackled the intimate topic of the relationship between a black woman and her hair.
She further solidified herself as an innovator and pioneer in the local luxury beauty sphere with the launch of Boity Pink Sapphire — a proudly South African, premium, first-of-its-kind Eau de parfum.
There can never be a dull moment when we don't celebrate our faves and Boity is one lady who definitely speaks her truth and owns her throne. Happy birthday, Boity!
