He even lost out on sponsorships because he refused to back down and apologise. But he is proof that when one door closes another one opens. Before we get carried away, we need to address how he put Boity Thulo on blast for not sticking to her promise of having an interview with the Podcast and Chill crew.
The podcaster said Boity has expressed interest in sitting down with the podcast team and always promises to get back at them but ends up blue ticking them. Mac G has managed to build a very successful podcast with a massive following all with the help of his team Sol Phenduka and The Ghost Lady. Despite having lost two major sponsors due to their homophobic episode, they managed to ink a deal with Sterkinenor.
Their latest celebrity episode which features the legendary Zola 7 will be broadcast on Sterkinekor cinemas in three major cities in the country.
"As you all know right we did an iconic interview with Zola 7, so we hit up our good friends at Sterkinekor and we are going to premier the Zola 7 interview in Durban, Cape Town and Joburg."
The never been done before move, will see the interview with the legend broadcast on these movie theatres on 29 April 2020. These include Gateway in Durban, Tiger Valley in Cape Town and Sandton which is in Johannesburg.
Another big achievement for them is that they are growing! In an effort to clear their names of being homophobic, they have expanded their podcast with the addition of radio and TV personality Bujy Bikwa. The DJ revealed that he will be working on his very own podcast under Mac G's and will be about everything gay and about uplifting the LGBTQI community. He described it as a "queer lifestyle galore!"
