A big congratulations to Isthembiso star Tiisetso Thoka. The actor has scored a major deal with Lotto Sports ZA, the official distributor of Lotto Sport Italia in South Africa.
According to the Entertainment Commentator Phil Mphela, Tiisetso is the first ZAleb in South Africa to bag this deal.
"The actor is now the very first brand ambassador for the sports apparel business in Mzansi," he tweeted.
Taking to Instagram, Tiisetso thanked the company for the opportunity. He wrote, "These are one of the best news yet, thank you LORD for such a blessing and I know it’s only the beginning. @lottosportza thank you once again for this opportunity."
Tiisetso is the former YoTV presenter and he has been featured on several Mzansi TV series such as Skeem Saam, The Herd, Snake Park, Gold Diggers, and eKasi: Our Stories.
He previously opened up about his difficult journey to the top. Speaking to TrueLove, the TV star said he was unemployed for 4 years after exiting YoTV.
"During my daunting journey from going to countless auditions, I began to think that TV is not for me. I did presenting and loved it but I took a break because I didn’t want to be only known as that child star from YoTV. I wanted to do something different.
"After quitting YoTV it became difficult finding an acting job, I spent four years unemployed and people suggested I continue with the law but I didn’t because acting is my passion. I persevered and didn’t allow circumstances to derail me. My transition from presenting to acting was not easy," he said also sharing that he plans to take his career internationally.
Tiisetso also opened up to the publication about his decision to leave Law. He said it was a difficult decision but his parents knew that he loved theatre since his high school days.
"I completed my studies, but it was during my training period that I realised law doesn’t make me happy. That’s where I decided the law profession was not for me, even though I excelled in it. So I made the career change and I went into TV," he said.
Speaking about being a parent to his baby girl, the actor said he loves being part of each and every step of her development. "The best thing about being a parent for me is those special moments when she was born, started to crawl, when she took her first baby steps, when she uttered her first words, learning how to speak and her calling me daddy," he said.
