The biggest rivalry in Mzansi history has to be the one between rappers, AKA and Cassper Nyovest. The platinum-selling musicians started out as friends but things became sour between them shortly after Cassper released his hit single with Okmalumkoolkat, Gusheshe. Fast track to 2020, the enemies exchanged words multiple times, and have even challenged one another to a boxing match where they will be able to make things physical.
If there is one ZAleb who doesn't mind being in the limelight or ruffling people's feathers, it is Ntsiki Mazwai. With over 20 years of experience in the music industry, she has seen it all and done it all. She has been around to see careers flourish and some crash and burn while still remaining relevant and especially controversial. Some of her feuds include her going up against Proverb, Connie Ferguson, Sizwe Dhlomo, Somizi, and Bonang.
Vusi Thembekwayo saw himself taking shots from Sizwe after commenting on a follower's birthday present suggestion. A follower teased Sizwe by suggesting the perfect birthday present for him and it was the entrepreneur's book. Asking when his birthday was, he showed him Vusi's book titled: “Vusi: Business & Life Lessons from a Black Dragon” saying it would be a perfect read.
It was bound to happen at some point, no one was sure when but everyone who knows DJ Maphorisa and Prince Kaybee has been anticipating the day they re-ignite their beef again. It seems for quite some time, they have been sub-Tweeting each other and avoiding direct conflict but there has never been peace. The most recent blow came when Phori dissed Prince Kaybee’s Project Hope, something which he is really passionate about.
The feud actually started when Speedsta suggested that Nasty C “stole” his song when the real story was that Nasty gave Speedy a song that he eventually wanted back because it was not being used. Sppedsta caught feelings and that was when he bought the first “cap” and sold it as the truth in public. Since then the two have lived on road “ku-tense” and corner “ku-tricky.” So when Speedsta attempted to rehash the feud, possibly to trend before his appearance at what used to be the biggest music show on the land, Nasty C let it be known that he was not the one. Well, only until the former number 1 music show was over at least because Nasty C returned to the Twitter streets when many thought the twar was over to deliver two last tweets on the matter. He basically said that it is not over until the “Zulu Man With Some Power” sings, or raps.
