Royal AM chairman Andile Mpisane recently went back to actively playing football after his long hiatus, leaving fans wondering whether this is a bad sign for his rap career.
He recently shared a video of himself back on the field, surprising many social media users. I mean, everybody knows he is a rapper and the chairman of the football club, but he took a break so long that his fans forgot he was a decent player.
Fans took to the comments to express their amazement at his skills. They were shocked that he is actually not bad, and it looks like they expected him to be terrible for some reason. The only advice they had for him was that he should stop jumping a lot, and he would be an excellent player.
However, others caught a dynamic between Andile and the other players that apparently was not evident in the video. They figured that it must be tough and intimidating to play alongside their boss. Can you imagine how awkward it can be to refuse to pass the ball to your boss? Now imagine if Andile was a terrible player, but the other team members could do nothing about it and had to play with him, even if it reduces their skill as a team. Talk about workplace tension!
The sudden choice to return to football after he took a long hiatus to focus on his music has some questioning whether everything is going alright in his rap career. As some mentioned, they had never heard any of his music. Is music just not going well for him, so much so that he now has to return to football?
But others have acknowledged the privilege that being rich has given him. He gets to switch jobs at will if one is not going well. The beauty of being a footballer is that he is almost guaranteed longevity at Royal AM, seeing as his mother owns it and he is the chairman. It must be nice.
In case you’re doubting how truly wealthy he is, remember that he just recently bought a brand new BMW M3. This comes just a few weeks after he pulled the ultimate flex on Cassper Nyovest and bought out all the bottles of his drink Billiato, following a little tiff they had online over owning the luxurious McLaren GT. If all of this feels a little confusing, we get it. These are some rich people's arguments we don’t relate to.
Either way, we wish Andile the best in his return to the field, and much luck to his teammates too.
